The board on the right is a TIKI the other is a JAY both are single fin pintails from early to mid 70's.

This was my first board that I got as a surprise Christmas present way back in December 1988 I was well stoked to get a proper board, it was second hand and used to belong to that well known surf photographer Alex Williams. It was an excelent board and worked really well in the Kent slop being quite wide and with lots of float but only 6' 2" long.

Some items of 60's memorabilia, note from surfer covers how surfing changed radically in the last 5 years of the decade. The sweatshirt is one of the only remaning items from the Kent surf company.

This is a KM custom cica 1970, shaped by ex Kent surfer Kurt Maskelyn in North Devon. This photo was taken in 1989, the board belonged to my dad and he gave it away (gutted) to a beginer who moved to London from Thanet, if anyone knows the wherabouts of this board contact me.

This is Ian Stevenson at Joss circa late 70's, (Pete: I remeber this board I was only 6 or 7 at the time but thought it was excelent). Tris from homeblown (supplier of surfboard blanks and board making kits ) http://www.homeblown.co.uk supplied me with this extra info. I made this board the board was a T S Tris Surfboards. I recognised it from the spray done by Teep he sprayed for us for about 12 years and Tigers were a favourite.

Doug Waller sent in this picture of intersting early 70's board it is a 6ft single fin and is stringerless, maker unknown.

Doug Waller owns this nice example of a late 60's Tiki, the board is in excellent condition, probably from 1968 and is 8ft in length.

The underside of the same Tiki board.

This excellent Bickers with deep choclate brown rails and 3" stringer, was sold from a Thanet surf shop! (was this the one in Cliftonville near the time tunnel ?)in the early 80's to guy who later moved to Lowerstof the board is now in Simon Skeltons collection.
